Guest Blogger Nicola from Obsessed by Beauty takes us through her top Spring Perfumes for women.
Now we're finally leaving the dark depths of winter and can finally look ahead to Spring, it's probably time to add a fresh fragrance to your daily spritz to keep up with the bright, crisp mornings and longer days that are heading our way. Out with the strong, musky notes and in with the light, sensual scents with my top picks for your Spring fragrance wardrobe.
With it's daisy topped bottle, some may say Marc Jacobs Daisy is an obvious choice. I say it's the classic choice and a quintessentially spring scent. A fresh mixture of fruits and flowers, it manages to be grown up and sophisticated where it could have been overly sweet and dated.
Nina Ricci La Tentation De Nina is a wonderfully refreshing scent, with its balance of lemon and raspberry notes, enveloped in warm almond and rose, making it a very contemporary fragrance which was inspired by the smell and taste of French Macaroons.
Romance by Ralph Lauren was released in 1998 and is a scent I have grown up with. I have so many wistful memories whilst doused in the citrus, rose and violet notes. As it's such a classic I can get lost in the spicy ginger and white musk once the scent has settled on the skin. It is timeless and such an effortless choice for those cold Spring mornings wrapped up in nostalgia... and your coat.
Stella by Stella McCartney is an iconic fragrance and, although one I would describe as a Spring scent, it is definitely a signature scent for many women and can be worn all year round. It not only has rose as a top note, but also in the heart of the fragrance, so if you love rose scented perfumes expect to love this. The rose is supported by peony and tangerine and the comforting warmth of amber in the base.
Spring is the time that the outside world comes back to life and hopefully one of these Spring fragrance’s could do the same for you, so you can leave the house in the morning bright eyed and smelling fantastic.
